A healthy body and mind is as much about what you eat as the exercise you do. Get Out, Get Active have partnered with the International Office and the Food Science & Nutrition School at the University to provide you with some advice on nutrition and some globally-inspired recipes.
For new meal ideas and inspiration, take a look over our recipes which have been specially created by our food science and nutrition students to aid you in consuming a balanced diet on a budget. You can also find out about upcoming workshops these students will be delivering and check out our tips for the best places to shop to get ingredients.
Our food workshops are an opportunity for you to enhance your cooking skills and nutrition knowledge with the help of our Food Science and Nutrition volunteers. Our volunteers have created recipes especially for the theme of each workshop, considering cuisine from across the world. For more information on the workshops and to book a ticket, see the table below.
Take a look at some of our favourite recipes below for some inspiration when planning your meals. You can always play around with these recipes and swap the ingredients for what you have available at home. Be creative and don’t be afraid to try out new things!
