Looking to come to the Edge, but not sure who to come with? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Included premium memberships for University of Leeds Halls students
All students in University of Leeds Halls have an included premium membership to The Edge, and if you’re looking for someone to go with, we’ve teamed up with Residence Life to run our Gym Buddies programme.
Whether you’re looking for regular or casual workouts, weekly sports sessions or want to build your own swimming squad, this is a great way to meet your new workout buddies. The Edge team will be running monthly Gym Buddies social events where you can meet like-minded students who want to find their dream workout partner… this could be you!

Run Club
Get outside and meet new people at our run club
Join us for our members-only weekly run club every Monday. Run different routes around and close to campus and get out in the fresh air.
Beginners club
Mondays, 5.30pm – 6.30pm
Our beginners will be a leisurely 5k and a great way to meet fellow aspiring runners! Meet at The Edge reception, arrive 5 mins before the start, changed and ready to run. Be sure to bring water and wear light coloured clothing.
Intermediate club
Mondays, 5.30pm – 6.30pm
Our intermediate club is for the more experienced runners amongst you, who are comfortable with a 7-8k route. A great way to get your distance in and mingle with fellow Edge runners! Meet at The Edge reception, arrive 5 mins before the start, changed and ready to run. Be sure to bring water and wear light coloured clothing.
Book a Reformer Pilates Session
We are now offering one to one Reformer Pilates sessions at The Edge, with one of our qualified instructors who can tailor each class to your specific needs. Sessions are currently available on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s, bookable through our online booking system.
