LEED 2030 – Outdoor Adventure – Mapping & Navigation

Aimed at: Level 2 and 3 students

Teaching period: Semester 2
This module offers a unique chance to learn about how maps are made and what instruments and techniques have been developed to help in their use. You will have to make a map yourself and, as part of a team, organise a navigation / orienteering event.
Designated a Special Skills module, and so available to students across all degree programmes, this module is normally taken by level 2 and 3 students.

Tues 12 May – Fri 14 Aug for undergraduate students going into Year 3
Wed 13 June – Fri 14 Aug for undergraduate students going into Year 2
Wed 2 Sept – Thurs 24 Sept for undergraduate students going into Year 1
Discovery Modules – (all other students)
