This module is designed to enable students to develop their knowledge and understanding of the coaching process from an applied perspective by studying in depth selected and contrasting sports/activities
The focus enables the student to acquire appropriate levels of knowledge that can be applied to a coaching environment and will underpin the assessment of vocational competence as ‘added value’ to the degree programme.
First hand knowledge of physical activities provides the student with an understanding of the nature of sport-related activity and develops appropriate key skills.
Module Enrolment dates for 2015/2016 are as follows:
Optional modules – (Sport & Exercise Science students)
Tues 12 May – Fri 14 Aug for undergraduate students going into Year 3
Wed 12 June – Fri 14 Aug for undergraduate students going into Year 2
Wed 2 Sept – Thurs 24 Sept for undergraduate students going into Year 1
Discovery Modules – (all other students)
Tues 7 July – Thurs 24 Sept
