Please be aware of our planned swimming pool closure.

We are investing £115k into updating and improving our swimming pool to make it an even better place for you to swim. For us to be able to complete the works, we need to close the swimming pool for just over two weeks between Monday 29 July and Tuesday 13 August.

The summer promotion is a premium promotion across the months of June, July and August. 1 month = £35, 2 months = £60 (£30 per month) and 3 months = £75 (£25 per month)

The summer promo can be purchased from May until August 15th

Where can I buy the summer promotion?

When is the latest I can buy the summer promotion?

  • The 3-month membership is available until June 30th
  • The 2-month membership is available until July 31st
  • The 1-month membership is available until August 15th
  • All memberships will expire on or before August 31st regardless of purchase date

Do I pay at the start of each month or do I pay upfront?

All payments are made up front

Where can I park to use the Edge?

The summer promotion members will have the normal access to car parking.

Terms and conditions

  1. Memberships are premium, excluding the use of the BUCs university gym membership scheme
  2. Memberships can start from 1st June, all memberships expire 31st August
  3. Months covered include June, July and August
  4. Upfront payment, no contract, no joining fee
  5. Multi-month memberships must be consecutive
  6. This offer is not transferable from one individual to another

Look no further – here at the Edge we are introducing a brand new range of exercise classes, combining exciting new products and time-maximising 30-minute sessions – taking our total number of term time classes to over 220 per week!

Here are just a few of your new exercise opportunities…

 

1. Edge HIIT

Incorporating strength, cardio and interval training, this Gym-Floor class will work you to the max in just 30 minutes! Designed to fit naturally around your day, our new sessions mean you can go from work to gym and back again with ease.

2. Clubbercise ®

Want to bring a night out to your workout?  Clubbercise® is a fun dance workout to club anthems from 90′s classics, using glowsticks to add to the atmosphere. Clubbercise fitness classes are great for beginners and fitness fans alike.

3. Barre Pilates

The Barre Pilates Method mixes Pilates, ballet & body conditioning for a whole body workout. This is a low impact class but that doesn’t mean you won’t sweat! This class aims to tone and define those muscles.

4. New virtual classes

With our brand new state of the art virtual offerings, we are adding virtual classes such as Insanity, P90X and Spin, available on-demand. These new additions are creating more variety and fun in our class schedules, complementing our new live sessions ranging from Primal Fitness to Freestyle Kickboxing

Living Social

The Edge have teamed up with voucher website Living Social to offer you the chance to buy 10 day passes for only £15.

This is the perfect opportunity to bring a friend or family member along on your workouts, or maybe you want to use the passes as a way of using the facilities outside of your existing membership time banding.

Day passes allow anytime access to the Fitness Suite, Swimming Pool and booking onto one exercise class per visit.

Fitness Courses are Back!

Our popular fitness courses are back at The Edge!  Led by our team of expert Personal Trainers these courses will increase your motivation and enhance your fitness results. The courses are just £60 for a 6 week course and there are plenty of options to choose from so whatever your fitness level there’s something for you!

All courses will take place in a reserved area of the new weights training area opposite the gym reception.

The courses:

Courses start week commencing 8th of February 2016 and cost £60 for a 6 week course of fitness training. Non-members will also need to pay an additional £7.50 Fitness Suite entrance fee per visit. There are a range of dates and times available. The courses have a maximum group size of 6, with a minimum of 2 needed to run the course.

Women only & Unisex Strength Training Courses

These courses are both aimed at beginners, and are aimed at educating and coaching, but the instructor will always seek to make the class challenging. There is no difference between unisex and women only courses in terms of content.

“Aimed at beginners, the purpose of this course is to build your confidence in using our free weights equipment. Really take your workout to the next level and reap the fitness benefits of using free weights correctly”.

Olympic Lifting Courses

“Aimed at weightlifters who may be interested in how to Olympic lift like the professionals. Learning these new lifts will certainly enhance your athletic performance”.

Merel, Jen and Fran all recently completed one of the Women Only Strength Training courses.
