Lacrosse

We are a growing club with a great social scene, we currently play in the BUCS league. Mens Lacrosse is rapidly emerging sport in the UK and we compete against a variety of teams. The teams we face contain both experienced players and freshers to lacrosse playing side by side creating variety and accessibility for all. Come down to Weetwood Playing Fields, meet the team and get a taster of Men’s Lacrosse.

Our women’s lacrosse club have two teams, which both compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league. All our training happens at Weetwood so come and down to see what we can offer you.

The University of Leeds awards a number of scholarships to aspiring coaches to help improve the quality and quantity of coaching available to students in clubs. Working in conjunction with the Leeds Sport team and club committees it is an excellent opportunity for students to develop their skills and grow as a coach whilst at University.

The Coaching Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for current undergraduate or postgraduate students to rise to the challenge of coaching their fellow students alongside working with senior coaches and mentors to become a more effective coach as well as articulate the transferable skills coaching gives you in real-world situations. Ideally, candidates will have an NGB Level 1 or 2 or equivalent experience in their chosen sport and be looking to build on this whilst at University.

Applications for coaching scholarships for the forthcoming academic year are accepted from February to April.
