This Student Volunteering Week (Monday 10th – Sunday 16th February 2020) we’re running some free events to give you the chance to have a go at some volunteering in the local community and learn a bit more about the volunteering opportunities Leeds Sport have available for you to get involved in. Volunteering Week Sessions
UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS VS GOODGYM
Busy students! You can now combine volunteering with getting fit thanks to Goodgym Leeds. Every Wednesday this group meet at Hyde Park Book Club before jogging to a nearby community location to complete a good deed! Previous tasks have included painting, gardening and litter picking, and Goodgym-ers help out before disappearing again into the night! If you fancy giving it a go with fellow staff and students then sign up to come along on Student Volunteering Week. You can meet us at Hyde Park Book Club at 6.30pm or in the foyer at LUU at 6.10pm if you’d like company for the short walk/ jog from campus!

Time: 6.30-8pm approximately
Venue: Hyde Park Book Club with a short jog to a community location to be confirmed! The running element is very inclusive and usually 3-5k.
WOODHOUSE MOOR PARKRUN TAKEOVER
Every Saturday at 9am hundreds of participants walk, run or jog 5k around Woodhouse Moor Park – all for free thanks to volunteers. For one week only we are taking on all of the volunteer roles at Woodhouse Moor Parkrun! We need marshals, timers, barcode scanners and more so get involved! University of Leeds staff are also welcome to support this event!
