The British Transplant Games

The British Transplant Games aim is to raise awareness of the need for organ donation, encourage transplant recipients to lead active lifestyles and show appreciation for, and remember, donors and their families. This year the games were right here in Leeds!

The flagship event of Transplant Sport took place on the 28 – 31 July in a variety of venues across Leeds, including our very own sports facility The Edge.

The Games saw over 24 sporting events take place across the four-day event. Thousands of athletes their families and friends travelled to Leeds from across the UK, to celebrate the gift of life, with the transplant community.

22 organisations from across the UK came forward to show their support for the Games. They generated over £400,000 and provided resources to ensure that the transplant community could reunite safely once again.
