The Gryphon Colours Awards shortlists are now in!

We hope you are looking forward to the Gryphon Colours Awards as much as we are! The event is taking place on the 11 May 2022 in The Refectory at Leeds University Union. Tickets are now available so get booked in for an amazing evening. The tickets cost £25 and include access to the awards ceremony as well as a 2-course meal and drinks. It’s first come first served so don’t hold back.

The following list shows the awards, what the award is given for and who the nominees are. Congratulations to all of those mentioned below for your efforts and contribution to sport at the University of Leeds.

Gryphon Leadership Award

This award celebrates the students who volunteer, coach, officiate and lead a number of key Leeds Sport programmes. Many of these programmes give our student body access to high quality sport and physical activity experiences at a range of different levels.

Awarded to the Club Coach that has positively influenced their club’s overall experience.

Mike Brook Award for Performance Coach of the Year

Chris Hatton Award for Most Improved Athlete

This award goes to the most improved athlete after having little experience in their chosen sport before joining their Leeds Sport Club.

The Inclusion Award

Committee Member of the Year
