Love Thyself Workshop- Thursday 19th November 14:00-15:00
In collaboration with Team Unity‘s Lovember campaign which aims to spread more love, kindness, happiness and unity, on and off campus, we are encouraging you to take some time out to focus on yourself and your needs. Your mind and your body need love too and self-care is a priority not a luxury!
Come and join Exercise Referral Instructor, Kiran Bhogal, for a “Love Thyself” session around mental and physical health and wellbeing. The 1-hour workshop will be hosted on Microsoft Teams and will be split into three 20-minute sessions- mind, body and lifestyle.
- Mind (14:00-14:20)– Our wellbeing comes not just from physical health, but from mental health and spiritual health as well. In this session we will look at the foundations of meditation and mindfulness centred around caring and loving yourself and applying positive affirmations to our mindset.
- Body (14:20-14:40)- As well as having a positive mindset it’s as important to look after our body. In this session we will cover some light stretches and gentle yoga to focus on moving the body. Applying mobility and postural stretches that will help loosen up a sedentary living. Perfect as lots of us have been working from home for months!
- Lifestyle (14:40-15:00)– The way we live has may influences on our daily attitude towards life. In this session we will talk about how to build daily routines covering sleep, diet and exercise and how we can apply them into our lifestyle.
