Leeds Sport Photographer
Overview of the role
The University of Leeds is one of the leading providers of sport and physical activity services within higher education and is always looking to get more students involved in sport whilst at university whether this be through participation, leadership or volunteering.
We are looking for an enthusiastic student photographer to join the Leeds Sport Marketing and Communications Team in the 2024-25 academic year to help photograph the many sporting fixtures and events throughout the year including BUCS, Varsity and Christie Cup. The photographer will go out and about and be proactively engaged in capturing creative, high – quality and engaging imagery for our various social media platforms. This will shine a light on all the varied sporting activities that take place on campus and beyond, from the activities of our Gryphons sports clubs, the contribution of our fantastic student volunteers and our members down at The Edge. We want content created by students, for students, so if you’re an aspiring amateur photographer we would love to hear from you.
This opportunity would particularly suit someone interested in pursuing a career in photography. You will gain insight into the sport sector and work alongside marketing, PR and media professionals. It is a fun and challenging role, and you will be helping get the word out about the work of Leeds Sport as well as broadening your own horizons and developing new skills.
