ABOUT ME

I have always loved swimming and the water – the best bit about my job is being able to share that love with others!

Growing up, I started swimming lessons aged four, quickly progressing through the stages and joined a local swimming club. Here, I found not only a supportive community, but a life-long passion for swimming. More than learning to swim, swimming has given me communication skills, leadership, and organisational skills. I truly believe that, as a sport, swimming can hugely impact people’s lives beyond the pool, no matter your age or stage, and, for me, it a joy to share in people’s swimming journey.

Prior to becoming a swimming teacher at the Edge in 2018, I was a competitive Swim Coach for a small club outside London. I was selected for Youth Sport Trust’s National Talent Camp 2016 based at Loughborough University as a coach and nominated for Swim England’s Service to Aquatics Award in 2018. I became a member of Swim England’s Youth Advisory Panel in 2017, joining the leadership team between 2019 – 2022.

This role enabled me to focus on championing diversity and inclusion within swimming which is important to me. This led me to be a founding member of the Cross-Sport Youth Leadership Team in 2020 though which I worked with several national governing bodies as well as Youth Sport Trust and Sport England.
