The 2024/25 year has drawn to a close and it’s been another great year with Get Out, Get Active!
Starting in October 2024, we first explored Malham Cove, Bakewell & Chatsworth and Llandudno. Over the rest of the year, we visited destinations across the Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Coast and Wales.
This year, our team of 8 activators and 37 volunteers have led 34 walking trips, exploring 17 destinations. Take a look at the highlights and picture from this year on our Instagram page.
We have also hosted weekly climbing sessions at The Edge, including our Fresh Start Festival taster sessions, where we welcomed lots of new faces to the GOGA community. We hosted GOGA run club twice a week throughout the year and as a part of Move More, Feel Good week where over 20 staff and students joined us for run club, with over 260 people joining us over the year!
This year, over 1,700 people joined GOGA through our walking trips, climbing sessions and run clubs. Together, we have covered more than 570km on foot during our walks!
