Swimming Performance Analysis Assistant
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The University of Leeds Swimming & Water Polo club is one of the largest and most competitive mixed sports clubs on campus. Both sports regularly compete in British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) with coaching & training available for athletes of all levels. The performance analyst will work with athletes on the clubs performance programme – these swimmers train up to six times a week as well as participating in complementary S&C sessions to prepare them for competitive racing throughout the year.
The performance analyst will work alongside the Head of Swimming and other coaches to collect and interpret data related to individual swimmers as well as the squad as a whole. This data will then be used to inform training, coaching, development and competition decisions. This is an ideal role for a student with an interest in the application of data in sport. This is a new role in the 2025-26 academic year and if it is successful we may roll it out in further Gryphons clubs.
