Sport & Physical Activity Code of Conduct
Do:
- Comply with all University policies and guidelines;
- Treat others with dignity and respect including match officials, team-mates, opposition players, coaches, managers, spectators and facility staff;
- Be gracious in victory and defeat;
- Adhere to the laws and spirit of the game;
- Promote fair play and high standards of behaviour;
- Respect the decisions of match officials;
- Work together to create a positive and welcoming environment;
- Encourage skill development, enjoyment and teamwork;
- Comply with all instructions and requests made by facility staff members;
- Report and challenge any behaviour not aligned to the Code of Conduct;
- Use the facility only at agreed times, leaving promptly at the booking end time and in an acceptable condition;
- Take reasonable care with University property, facilities and equipment;
- Wear appropriate clothing/ footwear for the activity you are taking part in.
Don’t:
- Tolerate cheating or manipulation of competition;
- Challenge, or encourage others to challenge, the decision of any match official;
- Enter the field of play if you are a parent, spectator or coach;
- Never engage in, or tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour;
- Bring alcoholic drinks or illegal drugs onto the premises;
- Partake in any conduct which is offensive, unsporting or which might cause annoyance or danger to others.
