Crispy BBQ roasted chickpeas

Prep time: 5 mins Cooking time: 30 mins Quantity: serves 4

crispy BBQ chickpeas in a bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Salt, pepper

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to 190 degree fan
  2. Drain your can of chickpeas well and place the chickpeas on a couple of sheets of kitchen towel and dab to dry. The more dry the chickpeas are, the crispier they’ll go!
  3. Place your chickpeas in a large bowl and add all of the ingredients except coconut oil listed above. Toss until coated well. If you have time, you can leave your chickpeas for 30 mins to an hour to soak up the flavours but it’s not super essential so don’t worry if you don’t!
  4. Melt the coconut oil in a baking try and then add your chickpeas and cook in the oven for around 30 minutes until the chickpeas have crisped up.

That’s all there is to it! Hope you enjoy.
