Semester two is nearly over, and it has been a fantastic few months for Get Out, Get Active (GOGA). We’ve enjoyed a busy programme of walking trips and running, with lots of new participants joining us.
Walking trips
This semester we ran nine walking trips, with more than 320 participants taking part. Together, we covered around 167km. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these outings so enjoyable.
Our walks included visits to Haworth, Monsal Trail, Knaresborough, Whitby, Ambleside, Malham Cove, Flamborough and Bakewell, with one more walk to go to Coniston this weekend. These trips gave students and staff the chance to explore new places, enjoy time outdoors and meet others.
GOGA walking trips will be back in Semester three!

Social run club
Run club held 20 sessions this semester and welcomed more than 100 attendances. It has been great to see so many new runners getting involved and finding time to move during the day.
We also welcomed 30 participants to the joint GOGA and Campus Reimagined run club, which was a brilliant session enjoyed by runners of all abilities.
We hope everyone who joined us this semester had a great experience with GOGA. A big thank you to our student activators, volunteers and run leaders for all their support. We look forward to seeing you next semester for more opportunities to get outside and get active.
