Our 1 mile (1.6km) cycle circuit is one of the longest in the country, providing a safe traffic free environment for cyclists of all abilities.
There are a number of ways to use the facility; through your local club or school or simply by attending one of our Pay and Pedal or Coffee Run sessions.

Open to cyclists who would like to come and have a go on the cycle circuit.
This session is for the more experienced and competent cyclist.
“Coffee Run” / Casual Sessions

Run, jog, walk, balance bike, rollerskate or even push your pram!
This session is aimed at the beginner cyclist and family groups.
The Brownlee Foundation
Free bike hire is now available, please contact The Brownlee Foundation to reserve your bike.
Sessions have stopped for the school vacation and will re start in September
Bike and run sessions open to children aged 8-14.
Roller Skiing
Regular Wednesday sessions, 7:15pm – 9:00pm,
Offering taster sessions and 4 week courses.
Learn to cross country ski, without snow.

Pay and Pedal
Our Pay and Pedal sessions are open to the more competent cyclist who would like to come and have a go on the cycle circuit. There is no need to book, you can just turn up during the Pay and Pedal session times.
Pay and Pedal sessions are for cyclists who want to develop their skills, fitness or just spend time on their bike in our safe cycling environment.
Families and groups wishing to cycle with younger children are encouraged to attend the coffee run.
There will be a Women and Girls Only Session on Mondays 5-6pm.
There is no need to book onto these sessions, just turn up, pay in reception and pedal round the cycle circuit until you run out of energy!
Participants will be able to access our fleet of bikes which include adapted bikes (6 tandems, 3 trikes and 3 hand-cycles).

For the cost of hiring the social space please contact one of the team. We can also include tea, coffee and biscuits for an additional cost.
The Coffee Run
Our coffee run sessions are open those who would like to use the circuit recreationally. You can run, jog, walk, cycle, balance bike, rollerskate or even push your pram! These sessions provide somewhere safe to exercise, away from busy traffic.
Families and groups with younger children wishing to cycle are encouraged to attend the coffee run. Children should be supervised all times to allow everyone to exercise safely.
There is no need to book, just turn up during the allotted session times and pay at reception.

Please note that dogs are not allowed to be exercised on the circuit or within Bodington Playing Fields. No e-scooters to be used on the circuit. Helmets to be worn for balance biking, scootering and similar activities. Bikes are available to hire but only Year 6 and older.

Women & Girls Pay & Pedal
The Monday night Breeze sessions have now been replaced by a Women and Girls only Pay and Pedal session 5-6pm. During Spring and Summer this is often extended 6-7pm but please check Pay and Pedal page of the website.
The success and popularity of Breeze has built a strong network of women using the cycle circuit and ensured the viability of a stand-alone pay and pedal session going forward.
Bike and helmet hire, available on the day, please contact reception on arrival.
Participants will be able to access our fleet of adapted bikes which include 6 tandems, 3 trikes and 3 hand-cycles
Our women and girls pay and pedal session run every Monday, except Bank Holidays. Please contact Brownlee Centre (0113 343 1222) during inclement weather to confirm session is on.

The cost of the session is £4.50 per person or £3.50 with a valid British Cycling Membership (bring your British Cycling membership card)

British Cycling – Disability Hub
British Cycling Sessions have now stopped at Bodington Cycle Circuit
We do host a number of disability-accessibility cycling groups at the circuit and we can provide contact details of those groups.
Participants will be able to access our fleet of adapted bikes which include 6 tandems, 3 trikes and 3 hand-cycles.
Hiring The Cycle Circuit
The cycle circuit is open year-round for external group hire including cycling events, duathlons, running events, corporate team building activities and private training sessions. For more information and to make an enquiry please complete the online booking form.
Bodington Junior Parkrun
A 2km run for juniors only (4-14 year olds).
It is held most Sundays at 9:00am
No event on Sunday 27th July.
A free event and parents are more then welcome to run/jog or walk with their children.
