At The Edge, we’re committed to making sure you get real value from your membership, and nothing delivers that quite like our Edge Run Club.

Every Monday, our members-only run club gives you the chance to level up your fitness, meet new people, and get some much-needed fresh air. We cater to all abilities, with both beginner and intermediate groups, so whether you’re an experienced runner or you’ve just bought your first pair of running trainers, there’s a place for you.

Why should you start running?

There are countless reasons to put on your running shoes, but here are a few in case you need a little extra convincing:

  • Get to know The Edge community: as a members-only benefit, you can meet people who use the same facilities as you. It’s not just a chance to find a running mate but potentially a new gym buddy or even swim partner!
  • Discover new campus routes: Our run club follows routes in and around campus, giving you the chance to discover new ways to get to lectures and find food spots close to you.
  • An encouraging environment: Guided by friendly and welcoming, expert run leaders, our weekly sessions ensure you improve safely and support you in becoming consistent with your running goals.

What time should I arrive?

Both sessions begin at 5:30pm but be sure to arrive five minutes early so that we can get started as soon as possible.

What do I wear?

Please ensure you’re wearing light‑coloured active clothing so that your are easily recognisable to our run leaders, and make sure you wear appropriate running shoes.

Do I need to bring anything?

We recommend that you bring a water bottle so that you stay hydrated throughout the session.
