OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The annual Run For All Leeds Abbey Dash 10km took place on Sunday 30 November 2025,thank you to all those who joined us! Applications will open to volunteer at the Run For All Leeds Abbey Dash 2026 in August 2026.
This event starts and finishes in Leeds city centre and we are looking for a team of student volunteers to support this event with various roles available. This is a one-off commitment volunteering opportunity and no experience or training is required. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable students who are interested in supporting fellow students, staff and the other 1000’s of runners that take part. Roles include supporting a water station, route marshalling and giving out finisher medals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteers will be required to be available between 7am-12pm on Sunday 30th November 2025. . There are a number of roles available at this event which include;
- Drink station support
- Route Marshall
- Finish Medals
There will be a brief for all volunteers upon arrival and you will be supported by the Leeds Sport Volunteering Officer on the day as well as member of the Run For All Events team.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
No experience is required for this role. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable volunteers.

Communication, Teamwork & Collaboration, Active learning.
TRAINING & SUPPORT
There will be a volunteer brief for all volunteers upon arrival and you will be supported by the Leeds Sport Workforce Officer and the Run For All Event Team.

Leeds Sport is invested in retaining volunteers and ensuring their volunteering is a supportive, high-quality experience working to the common aims of growing community sports participation and developing student skills.
Students that are volunteering to complete course required hours can have this event signed off by the Leeds Sport Workforce Officer.
COMMITMENT
This is a one-off event so there is no ongoing commitment! A great way to volunteer if you are short on time. You just need to be available between 7am-12pm on Sunday 30th November 2025.
We will meet at Wellington Street in Leeds City Centre and be based here throughout the day. We will send further information, including the specific location on the week of the event.
