Module Summary

Sport Development is an ever growing and complex field of study. From education to health, crime and the Olympics, sport has a part to play. In this module, you will look at the sporting landscape in the U.K and how government contributes to the development of sport. The module will also look at the key challenges sport and physical activity face and what strategies and programmes have been devised to tackle these. You will develop your analysis and evaluation skills through looking critically at these interventions and the impact they have, and will develop innovative interventions to tackle key issues for sport and physical activity both at the university and throughout the UK.
