The University of Ice Hockey Club welcome all abilities and experiences, catering to students and staff members at any Leeds based academic institution. Despite having only formed recently in 2015 – Leeds Gryphons have had many successful seasons and look forward to continuing to develop the ever growing club.

Leeds University Union runs one of the largest Give it a Go programmes in the country with over 300 events per semester, including Ice-Hockey.
Give it a Go not only allows you the opportunity to try out different clubs and societies with no obligation to join, but you can attend arts & craft workshops, film screenings, workshops and explore attractions both local in Leeds and across the UK.

The University of Leeds awards a number of scholarships to aspiring coaches to help improve the quality and quantity of coaching available to students in clubs. Working in conjunction with the Leeds Sport team and club committees it is an excellent opportunity for students to develop their skills and grow as a coach whilst at University.

The Coaching Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for current undergraduate or postgraduate students to rise to the challenge of coaching their fellow students alongside working with senior coaches and mentors to become a more effective coach as well as articulate the transferable skills coaching gives you in real-world situations. Ideally, candidates will have an NGB Level 1 or 2 or equivalent experience in their chosen sport and be looking to build on this whilst at University.

Applications for coaching scholarships for the forthcoming academic year are accepted from February to April.
