Starlight Walk for Sands at Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Sands, are a charity that exist to reduce the number of babies dying and to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support. As part of their charity event calendar they are looking for volunteers for their event on Saturday 16th November 2024, 2pm-7.30pm.
Date & Time
The event is taking place at Roundhay Park, Leeds which is less than 4 miles from campus and accessible via public transport from Leeds city centre.
Roles Available
- Route Marshal
You will be stationed at a point along the route, guiding our walkers in the right direction. - Back walker
You will follow the final person on the walk to ensure everyone returns to the venue. - Venue volunteer
You could be supporting with registrations, selling merchandise, manning our memory wall, promoting your volunteer group, handing out medals and welcoming walkers back over the finish line.
Skills & Experience Required
No previous experience is required to volunteer for this event, just your energy and enthusiasm!
Training & Support
You will receive on the job training (briefing) upon your arrival at the event and be supported on the day by the event lead
