In preparation for their Dacia World Club Challenge clash this Sunday vs Leeds Rhinos, the North Queensland Cowboys have been training in Leeds Sport’s newly refurbished strength and conditioning room at The Edge. £100K has been spent renovating the existing space to create a purpose built, top quality facility where strength & conditioning coaches can work with the Leeds Gryphons clubs and individual Sports Scholarship athletes to maximise their performance.
The North Queensland Cowboys have been using the room in preparation for their big clash against the treble winning side on Sunday.
“The Edge provided the ideal training facility for our elite team’s strength and conditioning session. The set up was first class and allowed the North Queensland Cowboys to optimally prepare for our World Club Challenge v Leeds Rhinos.”
Andrew Croll, Queensland Cowboys S&C Coach
Welcoming the international side to the University is a fantastic endorsement of the quality of the facilities and the investment into sport at the University of Leeds.
“Having international athletes come and use our facilities showcases the investment we continue to put in to sport at the University. Ensuring our students have first class facilities which rival that of other institutions and even professional clubs.”
