From Saturday 21 July until 29 July, there will be a conference at The Edge and lots of activities happening throughout the campus as we are hosting Teach First for their graduating week. Teach First is a nationwide teaching initiative that takes high achieving graduates, and over a 6 week period teaches them how to be a primary school teacher. They then spend a year in under-privileged schools and then come back to Teach First to graduate.
Leeds University and Leeds Beckett have teamed up to share the hosting of the students for 1 week. All attendees including staff and tutors will have access to the gym and pool as if they were premium members.
From Monday 28th November, it will no longer be possible to park under the Cherry Trees in the Orange Zone, however, plenty of alternative parking will still be available within the multi-storey car park and in The Edge car park.
Furthermore, from Monday 12th December, traffic will be diverted around the campus, controlled by temporary traffic lights.
This change to parking is due to the construction of Nexus – the University’s £40m innovation and enterprise centre.
