Volunteering Week Sessions
SPORTS VOLUNTEERING INFORMATION SESSION
If you want to hear more about volunteering with Leeds Sport, come along to our information session on Student Volunteering Week. Our Sports Volunteering Officer, Suzzi will talk through roles we are recruiting for the 2022-23 academic year and answer all of your questions! Volunteer on campus, in the community or internationally with us and get more from your University of Leeds experience. We have loads of great opportunities for you to get involved in, and they’re not all for ‘sporty’ people.
Date: Tuesday 8th February
Time: 4-5pm
Venue: Microsoft Teams. You can view the recording of our presentation here.
PAINTING WITH GOODGYM
Busy students! You can now combine volunteering with getting fit thanks to Goodgym Leeds. As part of Student Volunteering Week we will be joining Goodgym to help paint some chairs! The chairs are going to be used for a wedding which Kirkstall Valley Development Trust are hosting. There are a few meeting options for this task – you can meet Goodgym there, or join us for a 1.2 mile jog to and from the task starting in Kirkstall. You’ll need to wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on and also bring a mask as the task itself will take place indoors. If you’re also joining for the run please wear trainers and a bright colour or high vis top. Both students and staff are invited to join us to try out Goodgym together.
(Please note you must also be registered with Goodgym to participate. You can register for free here).
Date: Wednesday 9th February
Time: 6-7.45pm approximately
Venue: Meet at Abbey House Museum if you want to run there & back. Or meet at the task if you prefer (Flexspace, Unit 11, Burley, Burley Rd, Leeds LS4 2PU). Look out for Goodgym leaders in red t-shirts.
