Cycling
The University of Leeds is nationally for its excellent cycling provision. The club has dominated the BUCS cycling programme for the past number of years in both team and individual events.
Club
The University of Leeds Cycling Club has strength in all cycling disciplines including hill climbing, mountain biking, time trials and road racing. The club has produced more gold medals than any other University over the past year.
The University's proximity to the Yorkshire Dales provides the perfect training venue for ambitious cyclists. The University also supports a number of elite cat riders including Calum Chamberlain, Hugo Humphreys and Jack Kirk.
Facilities
The Cycling Club combines indoor and outdoor training. The club has a dedicated indoor site for turbo-training during the winter and is able to take advantage of the natural surroundings of North West Leeds and the Yorkshire Dales. The club also take part in Strength and Conditioning training in the S and C Room, The Edge.
Local Performance Clubs
The Cycling Club is affiliated to British Cycling and competes as Leeds Gryphon Performance Sport in regional and national cycling competitions.
